Very light ash blonde (11.1) is a beautiful, cool, very light blonde colour. You can choose this colour only if you are blonde by nature. Do you have brown or black hair? Then the 11.1 is not suitable. Do you have (partially) grey hair? Then very light ash blonde (11.1) does not cover well because it is a lightening colour. If you do not have much grey hair yet (less than 25%) you can choose this colour.
Choice of activator
With the colour very light ash blonde (11.1) you receive 9% activator as standard (instead of 6%, as with our other colors). This allows you to lighten undyed hair up to three colour levels. The colour is permanent. You can also choose a different percentage of activator (hydrogen peroxide) with your order.
3% activator
Is your hair already dyed with 11.1 or bleached and you have a yellow or orange glow in the roots? Then you can choose 3% to make a toner. The toner temporarily corrects the yellow or orange colour. Use the toner only for the areas of your hair where you want to mattify your colour. The mixing ratio of colour cream and 3% activator is 1:1.
6% activator
Is your hair very dry or damaged but would still like to lighten your undyed roots to two colour levels and/or freshen up your previously dyed lengths with 11.1? Then choose 6% activator. 6% activator is less damaging to your hair. You can choose 6% with the 11.1 if your natural hair colour is at colour level 9 or 10. The mixing ratio of colour cream and 6% activator is 1:1. The colour is permanent.
9% activator
This percentage comes standard if you don't make another choice. It allows you to lighten undyed hair up to three colour levels. So 9% you can choose if your natural hair colour is blonde and is at colour level 8, 9 or 10. The mixing ratio of colour cream and 9% activator is 1:2. The colour is permanent or permanent.
12% activator
Do you have darker blonde hair (colour shade 7)? Then it's best to choose 12% activator to lighten as much as possible. But your hair won't be as light as the example photos of the 11.1. In fact, with 12% you can lighten undyed hair up to four colour shades. In that case, if you want very light, you'd better choose our Bleach and Highlight set. The mixing ratio of colour cream and 12% activator is 1:2. The colour is permanent. Do you have a lot of natural warmth in your hair? Then never use 12% but 9 or 6% activator. With 12% you run the risk that your hair turns orange.
Result not matte enough?
Have you dyed your hair with very light ash blonde (11.1) and find the colour not ashy enough? Then you could also try our extra ash light blonde (10.11). This one is slightly darker than the 11.1, though. You can also dye your hair again with the 11.1 and use 6% activator instead of the 9% that comes with it. Do let the dye take effect for 65 minutes instead of 45 minutes. Because the lightening is slower, you will probably achieve a nice ash tone.
Advice with picking a colour
The result always depends on the colour and structure of your hair before you dye it. If you have dry, porous or fine hair, you should probably take a dye lighter than the colour you actually want. Your hair will absorb more pigment from the dye, making your end results darker than they should be. It's better to dye your hair too light than too dark, because you can't dye dark hair back! If you have doubts between two colours, pick the lighter colour. Are the end results too light? You can always dye it to a darker colour right away without damaging your hair with WECOLOUR dye.

How much dye do you need?
- Short, thin hair or just the roots: less than one package (one tube mixed with developer)
- Hair until your shoulders: one package (one tube mixed with developer)
- Thick or longer hair: two packages (tube mixed with developer)
- Very thick, long hair: three packages (tube mixed with developer)
Make sure to have enough dye. There's nothing more annoying than running out of dye in the middle of dyeing your hair. Also don't mix too much dye at once, you can always make more. If you have leftover (unmixed) dye, that's no problem. WECOLOUR colour cream has a shelf life of 12 months after opening.
