Dyeing hair from blonde to brown

Brown hair from blonde is not the easiest thing to do, but it's definitely possible. You can dye your hair from blonde to brown at home. Be careful not to choose an ash colour so you'll keep enough warm pigments in your hair. Sometimes, if you want to go a lot darker, or if your hair was bleached, it's better to dye your hair in two steps. For example, if you're light blonde now, first use a dark blonde dye and go to brown from there. The colour will look good for longer and next time you dye it you'll be able to dye it brown without going dark blonde first.

From blonde to brown hair

If you dye from blonde to brown it's easier if you're a natural blonde. That way you can easily dye your hair 4 tints darker without any complications. Our hair colour advice tool will show you which colours are fit for you. Blonde hair has a lot less warm pigment than brown hair. So if you're a natural blonde and want a nice brown colour, it's best to opt for a warm colour. This will also ensure that the colour won't have a green glow. Think of colours such as the 7.3 golden dark blonde or 7.7 caramel dark blonde. Dark blonde probably isn't dark enough for you, but it is best to start with dark blonde first. Because there's so little pigment in blonde hair, the brown pigment has to work a lot harder to stick to your blonde locks. So if you start with a dark blonde, you'll be fine. Our hair dye has more pigment and less chemical ingredients. Because it's so pure, the results look natural and lively. The colours often look a little darker than expected, so it's perfect if you want to go brown as a blondine. Because the hair dye contains as little harmful substances as possible, it won't harm your hair while dyeing. You can dye your hair twice in a row without having to worry about the health of your hair.

Bleached blonde to brown is a bit trickier

If you have bleached hair, it is also possible to go from blonde to a beautiful brown colour, but bleached blonde hair has had a lot to endure and that has an effect on the results. Porous or damaged hair is a lot more vulnerable for pigment. That means the colour will seep into the hair cuticles more and can look up to 3 to 4 tints darker. If you're a platinum blonde, it's best to start with the colour natural blonde (8.0) first. This will look a lot darker than you might expect it to. After that you can move on to light brown or hazelnut brown. If you still want to go darker after that you can always move on to chocolate brown next, but it'll require some patience. Even though the WECOLOUR hair dye is as pure as possible, dyeing willl always have an impact on the quality of your hair. The more careful your handle it, the better it will look.
