In this blog, we tell you what ginger does for your hair and share recipes for ginger masks for your hair. Because apart from fresh ginger tea and fresh ginger shots that you see more and more often, ginger is also making its way into the bathroom. Not a surprise, as it is an excellent beauty product.
Ginger originates from China. Ginger has been used there as a medicine for centuries because of its powerful medicinal properties. After all, this little bumpy stalk is full of vitamins and minerals. Meanwhile, ginger has found its way all over the world because of all its positive qualities.
Among other things, ginger is anti-inflammatory, has a positive effect on blood sugar levels, increases the absorption of nutrients from the intestines and stimulates digestion. Ginger also has anti-cough, sedative, blood pressure lowering and antibiotic properties. Gingerol, which is found in ginger, stimulates liver function. Against flu, colds or nausea, ginger also works extremely well!
Do you suffer from pregnancy nausea or a hangover? Drinking ginger tea can also help with these things. Long ago, sailors used ginger as a remedy for seasickness. Research has established that ginger is indeed as effective against nausea or heartburn as some medicines.
If you have the same symptoms more often, do always check with your doctor that there is no serious medical cause.
So ginger is very healthy for your body, but also for your hair. This root is packed with B vitamins and vitamin C. Among other things, vitamin B2 supports healthy hair. In terms of minerals, ginger is also very good for your hair; it contains calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium and iron.
Better hair growth, less hair loss
Ginger improves blood circulation to your scalp. This has a stimulating effect on your scalp, which also boosts your hair growth. Hair loss is also reduced. Fatty acids and vitamins in ginger strengthen your hair and have a restorative effect.
Ginger against dandruff
Ginger also has a beneficial effect against dandruff. Dandruff is often caused by natural yeast and bacteria that cause the unpleasant flakes on your scalp. Thanks to ginger's antiseptic qualities, bacteria and yeast levels are reduced.
