People have asked us before, how often do you need to dye your hair? Generally, you dye your hair when the roots start to bother you. There are several factors, such as how fast your hair grows and the contrast between your roots and the rest of your hair, that have to do with this. Not everyone's hair grows at the same rate and not everyone's roots are as easy to see. Not everyone is bothered by their roots either. Some people find it horrible, but others are totally fine with it. As you can see, how often you need to dye your hair differs for everyone.
How often you need to dye your hair depends on how fast it grows and on the quality of the colour that's still in your hair. If your natural hair is grey, the roots will be very prominent. If the reason you're dyeing your hair is to cover up the roots, you don't need to dye it entirely each time. This will waste product and have an unnecessary negative effect on your hair. It's enough to just dye the roots and freshen up the colour in the lenghts of your hair. Apply the dye to your roots as usual and let it sit for 20 minutes. Mix the leftover dye with 1/3 of water and apply this to the rest of the hair. Now let everything sit for another 15 minutes before washing it out. This is much more gentle for your hair than dyeing it completely each time. The ends will not get dry and the rest of the hair still gets a boost, making it look bright and healthy again.
If you've used this method to dye your hair two times in a row, we do advice you to dye your hair entirely the third time. This way the colour will hold its quality the best. Our hair dye doesn't damage your hair. In fact, it nourishes it, causing the colour to stay in even longer.
Have you spent years dyeing your hair with a dye that contains ammonia? Then it's possible that the colour will fade quickly the first time you use WECOLOUR. This is because your hair has been damaged, causing it to be dry and porous. The pigment has a harder time holding onto your hair. The colour can turn out to be darker than you expected, but this will get increasingly less the more often you use it. Is your hair dry or porous? We recommend to mix the Colour Mask in with the dye and developer. The mask will protect and nourish the hair and scalp while dyeing. The longer you dye with WECOLOUR hair dye, the longer the colour will stay in your hair, meaning you don't have to dye your hair as often as you're used to. Your hair will look and feel healthy. However, how often you need to dye your hair still depends on how fast it grows and how many times you wash it. WECOLOUR hair dye is as pure as possible, it can be used safely every four weeks.
WECOLOUR hair dye has a shelf life of twelve months, making it highly suitable for only dyeing the roots. You can't save the dye when the developer and the colour have been mixed, so make sure you don't mix more than you need.
You can choose from 44 colours and every single one of them is mixable. It may be some work, but you will be able to find your ideal this way.
