The autumn type has a warm skin tone just like the spring type, except an autumn type is darker than a spring type. To create harmony in your face, choose a warm and darker hair colour such as hazelnut light brown, chocolate brown or a mahogany dark brown.
You can recognise an autumn type by the warm undertone in the skin and the dark saturated colours on the face. The hair colour is usually medium brown.

Do you only identify with parts of the the description above? Chances are you have another colour type next to the autumn type. There are autumn types with a spring characteristics or cool characteristics. Read below how to recognise these types.
Autumn types with a spring tendency have red or honey-brown to honey-blonde hair. The eyebrows are lighter and less present than in true autumn types. However, the colours in the face are not as light as in the spring type.
Cool autumn types have a warm undertone in the skin but often a cool component because there is a cool glow over the hair or in the eyes. Think blue eyes or a black-brown glow in the eyebrows or hair. The roots of the hair are often warm, though.
An autumn type is a warm type, so a warm hair colour will balance out the colours in your face. If you choose a cool hair colour, you will notice that red spots and blemishes suddenly stand out much more. Examples of warm hair colours include our golden dark brown (4.3), chocolate brown (5.7) or hazelnut light brown (6.71). Are you an autumn type with a spring tendency? Then choose a slightly lighter warm shade such as caramel dark blonde (7.7), or copper dark blonde (7.4). On the contrary, do you have more of a cool proportion? Then always keep the roots warm but choose a natural or ash shade for the lengths, possibly in the form of highlights.
Wellknown autumn types are Julia Roberts and Eva Mendes. They do best choosing dark warm hair colours. They should avoid ash shades, mahogany shades and very blonde.
